Parmalat is committed to protecting the privacy of the users browsing Parmalat official website (www.parmalat.com). This notice concerns exclusively Parmalat website and no other web site accessed by the user via link or otherwise.
No personal data obtained from Parmalat web service will be disclosed. User’s personal data will be processed in order to provide the requested service only. They may be communicated to third parties only if strictly necessary.
The data controller is the Human Resource officer, pursuant to Legislative Decree no. 196/2003.
During normal operation computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire personal data, whose transmission is implicit when using Internet communication protocols.

In particular, on the website section dedicated to specific on-line services where user’s personal data are requested, data are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL technology encrypts all data before they are exchanged via web between user’s computer and Parmalat server, making them unintelligible to unauthorized people and guaranteeing the security of the transmitted data. The use of SSL requires an SSL-compatible browser able to perform a "key-exchange” using a at least a 128-bit security key. Such key is necessary to establish secure connections between the user and Parmalat server.
According to section 7 of the Legislative Decree 196/2003, data subjects shall have the right to:
- obtain confirmation as to whether his/her personal data exist and know the source and content of these data;
- obtain the updating, rectification or integration of his/her data as well as the deletion, anonymization or blocking if processed unlawfully;
- object, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of his/her personal information, even though they are relevant to the purpose of the collection;
- object to the processing of his/her personal information, if such processing is carried out for the purpose of sending advertising material, or to conduct surveys, or direct selling .

Interpretation and execution of these terms and conditions are regulated by Italian law. The Court of Parma, Italy will have exclusive jurisdiction for any controversies emerging from or connected with the terms and conditions outlined herein. Nevertheless, Parmalat reserves the right to take legal steps before Courts of cities or countries other than Italy or Parma in order to protect its interests and enforce its rights.
